Jitan Translate User Guide

Jitan Translate provides a Windows 11 voice translation app and browser-based file translation. Sign in to share usage status and custom terms across multiple PCs.

Step 1

Create an account and sign in

Sign up

Create an account with your email address. After registration, use the same account on the web dashboard and Windows app.

Log in

On the web, you can check your dashboard, translation history, and pricing. In the app, voice features and custom-term sync become available after sign-in.

Pricing and usage

Voice input, voice read-aloud, live interpretation, and file translation use your plan allowance or points. You can check remaining usage on the dashboard.

How to use the voice app

Install the app from Microsoft Store. No additional driver installation is required.

Voice translation input

Select any input field, press the input hotkey, and speak. The app recognizes, translates, corrects, and pastes the text.

Default: Right Alt

Voice translation read-aloud

Translate what you say and play it back with AI voice. Use it to communicate in another language during conversations or calls.

Default: Ctrl+Alt+Space

Live interpretation

Translate the other person's speech into subtitles in real time. Use the on-screen Speak button or sender hotkey to talk back.

Start: Ctrl+Alt+I / Speak: Ctrl+Space

Translation lens

Drag to select part of the screen and translate text in that area. Useful for browsers, images, and app screens.

Default: Ctrl+Shift+L
A sound plays after recording has fully started, and the mic meter shows “Start speaking.” To avoid missing your first words, speak after the cue appears. Hotkeys can be changed in the app settings.

How to use file translation

  1. Choose the file type Open the PowerPoint, PDF, Word, or Excel translation screen from the dashboard.
  2. Upload files Office files support multi-select. PDFs are processed one at a time. Image PDFs use OCR.
  3. Check translation settings Set the translation direction, mode, custom instructions, and custom glossary options as needed.
  4. Check points and run After upload, required points are shown based on characters or pages. Review the details and start translation.
  5. Download from history after completion When translation is complete, you can access the result file from the dashboard or translation history.

Use custom terms

Register preferred translations for product names, people, technical terms, and more. Terms sync to your account and can be used on another PC.

Using custom terms in the voice app

Register terms from Custom Terms in the left menu. Registered terms are used by voice translation input, voice read-aloud, live interpretation, and translation lens.

Using custom terms for file translation

On each file translation screen, you can import/export CSV files and manage custom terms. You can choose whether to use them for each translation.

Q. Can I translate PDFs into Japanese for free?

A. After creating an account, you can try PDF translation from the dashboard. Required points are shown before execution, so you can check usage before starting.

Q. Can PowerPoint, Word, and Excel layouts be preserved?

A. Translation is performed while preserving the original file structure as much as possible. Please visually review complex diagrams and tables after translation.

Q. How is this different from DeepL or Google Translate?

A. Jitan Translate is a business translation workspace that combines file translation, voice translation, live interpretation, translation lens, and custom terms under one account.

Q. Can it translate Zoom meetings or YouTube videos?

A. The Windows app's live interpretation and translation lens can help you understand meetings, videos, and on-screen text. The best setup depends on the app and audio environment.

Q. What happens to points if translation fails?

A. If a system error prevents completion, consumed points are managed so they can be returned.

Q. Is uploaded data used to train AI?

A. Uploaded data is used for translation processing and not used as AI training data. See the Privacy Policy for details.
